50th Anniversary of TAPS Operations

June 20, 2027, will mark the 50th anniversary of TAPS operations. From 800 miles of steel came millions of miles of progress. What started in Prudhoe Bay 50 years ago has inspired people and fueled projects all across the world. Making Alaskans old and new proud to say they’re from here. And while the anniversary marks a milestone, it doesn’t mark the end. It’s not history, it’s happening. This is more than a pipeline, it is a launching pad of possibilities that expands our reach from here to everywhere.

Tell Your TAPS Story

Fifty years ago, hardworking people built something the world said couldn’t be done. When asked how, the answer was simple: “We didn’t know it couldn’t be done.” So, they did it anyway.

That mindset is still alive. Alaskans take on hard things and get them done. That’s what it means to be from here. And everyone has a story about how they got here, to Alaska, and memories about their connections to TAPS. This is where we tell them.
