VanWingerden named Alyeska’s Vice President of Operations & Maintenance

Alyeska Pipeline Service Company recently announced that longtime Alyeska employee Klint VanWingerden was elevated to Alyeska’s Vice President of Operations & Maintenance. Klint held the position on a Temporary Special Assignment (TSA) since April 2025.

“Klint has earned this role through demonstrated leadership, deep system knowledge and a steady focus on safe, reliable performance,” said John Kurz, Alyeska President & CEO. “He stepped into a challenging assignment and provided stability, accountability and leadership for the organization. It is impressive that Klint has built a strong team that embodies his values, standards and leadership philosophy. Klint’s nearly 19-year career at Alyeska spans positions in engineering and operations and illustrates enterprise-level Operations & Maintenance accountability. He has held roles of increasing responsibility, starting as an Automation Engineer and moving on to O&M Engineering Manager, GMB Area Manager, Operations Director, VMT Operations & Maintenance Director, Pipeline Director, and most recently Vice President of Operations & Maintenance on a TSA.

Klint holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with minors in Mathematics and Physics, from the University of Alaska Anchorage. His appointment reflects Alyeska’s continued focus on developing leaders from within and ensuring strong, experienced leadership for the continued safe and reliable operation of TAPS.
