Alyeska rallies for United Way Campaign

Alyeska Pipeline has once again launched its United Way campaign drive, with our employees embracing United Way’s campaign theme to “Live United.” In late August and early September, our people rallied at our various work sites with campaign kickoffs. With the campaign in full swing, this is an exciting time for Alyeska, and one I became very familiar with in 2008 as chair of the Anchorage United Way. With the 2008 campaign, we at Alyeska made significant impacts in Anchorage, Valdez, Fairbanks, the Mat-Su Valley, and other communities across Alaska. 

We know the campaign this year is more critical than ever, as hardships are significantly greater for those less fortunate. Our business and budgets are changing like everyone else's, but I have personally urged Alyeska employees to continue our company’s strong tradition of helping others. And despite the challenging business climate, Alyeska is still committed to matching employee contributions dollar for dollar. With that program in play last year, Alyeska's contribution topped $500,000. We want to meet that mark again this year.  

As an organization, Alyeska is proud to align itself with the goals of United Way. This non-profit organization continues to focus on education, income, and health as major priorities in order to address our escalating community needs. Join me in this important effort and consider giving to the cause. Together, we make a big difference, and together, we can truly live united.
